These terms govern your use of AZK Player ("the App"), made by AZK Studios, Baghbanpura, Lahore Cantt, Lahore 54920, Punjab, Pakistan ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using the App you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
1. Who may use the App
The App is for people aged 13 and over. It is not designed for children. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms or for consenting to data processing, you must meet that age, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
2. License and ownership
AZK Studios and its licensors own the App, its code and its graphics. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on your own devices. You must not sell, rent, sub-license or redistribute the App outside official channels such as Google Play; copy it; or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
The App includes third-party software under its own licenses, for example the LAME MP3 encoder (LGPL) and Apache-2.0 libraries. The notices are in the App under Settings > Open-source notices. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.
3. Your media and your responsibility
AZK Player plays and converts video and music files that are already on your device, and plays online links that you enter or open. We do not host, provide, sell or distribute any video, music or subtitles, and we do not check them.
- You are responsible for the files you play, convert, rename, delete and share, and for the links you open.
- You confirm that you have the legal right to use them. Converting a file to MP3 creates a copy; you may only do it with content you have the right to copy.
- You must not use the App to infringe copyright or other rights, or for anything unlawful.
- We are not liable for any copyright infringement, illegal content or damage that comes from the files or links you choose to use.
We are not responsible for the content of any website, stream or subtitle source that you open through the App. Online links connect your phone directly to the server that hosts them; plain http links are not encrypted. "Find subtitles online" only opens a web search in your browser.
4. Permissions
The App asks for access to your photos and videos and to your music and audio so it can find and play your files, and for notifications so it can show playback controls. It also uses the internet, a foreground service and a wake lock for streams, ads, background playback and updates. You can refuse or withdraw a permission in Android settings, but parts of the App will then not work. The Privacy Policy lists every permission and why it is used.
5. Features that change or delete files
The App can rename files, move them to the Recycle Bin, delete them, and create converted files. Android may ask you to confirm. Please check what you select. Files deleted permanently cannot be restored. On Android 10 and older, files in the App's Recycle Bin are kept in the App's own storage and are deleted when the App is uninstalled or its data is cleared. The Recycle Bin PIN cannot be recovered; if you forget it you can only regain access by clearing the App's data.
6. Advertising and third-party services
The App is free and supported by ads. It uses Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network (through mediation), Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), Google User Messaging Platform (consent), Google Cast and Google Play services. These services have their own terms and may collect data as described in our Privacy Policy. Where required by law, you choose whether ads and analytics are allowed in the consent form and in Settings > Privacy choices. We do not control the ads that third parties show, and we are not responsible for the products or sites they advertise.
The App may offer to show you a short sponsored video in return for a period without ads. That period is a courtesy, not a purchase: it has no cash value, cannot be transferred, may be limited in number or length, and we may change or stop the offer at any time.
7. Casting
Casting works for online (http or https) streams only. Files on your phone are not sent to Cast devices. Compatibility with a particular device or stream is not guaranteed.
8. Formats, updates and availability
What plays depends on your device. Some audio or video formats, codecs and subtitle types may not be supported on every phone. Features may change, be added or be removed. We may release updates, and for security or stability we may require you to update to the latest version before you can keep using the App. We may suspend or end the App, or any part of it, at any time.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that it will play every file.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AZK Studios and its developers, partners and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, files, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including loss caused by deleting, renaming, converting or moving files. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your license if you breach these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date; continuing to use the App after that means you accept it. If you do not agree, stop using the App.
13. General
If a part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the App. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection law of the place where you live.
